Steven J. German is a founding partner of the firm. He has extensive experience in complex civil litigation, with concentration in the areas of personal injury, environmental, class action and mass tort. He is an adjunct professor at Pace Law School, where he teaches a course in environmental and toxic tort litigation. Mr. German’s cases have been covered by The New York Times, The New York Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Newark Star Ledger, The Bergen Record, The Jersey Journal, MSNBC and other television, radio and print media across the United States.

•Represents victims of serious injuries including motor vehicle, trip and fall, premises liability, construction, defective drugs, environmental contamination and property damage.
•Represents victims of financial harms including breach of contract, affinity fraud and consumer fraud.
•Court-appointed Plaintiffs'​ Class Counsel in Halley v. Honeywell, et al., a case alleging property damage caused by defendants' improper disposal and failure to remediate hexavalent chromium in Jersey City, NJ. (2015)
•Appointed by Governor Christie as Special Counsel to the State of New Jersey in connection with natural resource damage litigation against ExxonMobil. (2015 settlement of $225,000,000) 
•Plaintiffs'​ counsel in Roeder v. Atlantic Richfield, Co., a class action settlement valued at $20,000,000 that provided water extension to desert community and cash payments in connection with mining contamination in domestic drinking water wells in Nevada. (2014)
•Court-appointed Plaintiffs'​ Co-Lead Interim Class Counsel in In Re Behr Dayton Thermal Products, LLC Litigation, concerning contaminated groundwater and vapor intrusion at 500+ properties in Ohio. (2011)
•Plaintiffs’ counsel in MDL 1358: In Re MTBE Products Liability Litigation. Represented drinking water providers across the U.S. in connection with contamination of their water supply wells with the gasoline additive MTBE. Recovered $423,000,000 for the filtration of drinking water. (2004-2008) 
•Appointed Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of New Mexico in connection with groundwater contamination claims. (2006)  
•Trial team in Interfaith Community Org. v. Honeywell. Trial and appellate victories resulted in one of the nation’s largest environmental cleanups of soil, groundwater and river sediments valued over $400,000,000. (2004)
